The Firiri World

El mundo de Firiri

Nepalese word firiri means moving with the wind, waving in the air. That is to say the movement of an object in the wind, either material (such as a piece of cloth) or intangible (as an idea). The wind is considered an expression of our minds.

The Buddhist prayer flags in Nepal are one of the most representative images of the country. These multi-colored flags have full of symbols, mantras, sutras and prayers that increase the spirit and life of anyone who is nearby. When the wind blows through the Buddhist prayer flags then harmony, happiness and good fortune spread and prayers contained in each flag are transported to all beings as a blessing.

Firiri brings us the movement of change. A slow but constant change, in which all of us want to try and live in a less competitive, more quiet and unhurried world in which we become aware of who, where and how it was made the cloth we wear. This is the world of firiri.

Firiri logo represents the geometric form that is repeated in different colors and shapes of traditional fabric in Nepal, called Dhaka. It also represents the silhouette of the Himalayan mountains, nature, culture and tradition of Nepal.

Palabra Napalesa

The turquoise color of our logo represents the fusion with the Mediterranean Sea. It is a brand that is born with love and the union of two cultures, like their owners, Laura and Raju: Barcelona, Europe and the Mediterranean from her side; Kathmandu, Nepal and the Himalayas from his side.

Two different backgrounds and origins with a common vision: to make people aware that a different fashion is possible. All we can do extraordinary things. We all have something to contribute to our society. And firiri wants to contribute its’ grain of sand, through a process of fair and responsible production.

Business should be synonymous to contribute something to our community, society and humanity in general. It should mean that men and women are treated fairly and equitably. Business should have nothing to do with gender discrimination, abuse of human dignity or exploitation of any kind.

This is our commitment to you and to society. Will you join the world of firiri?
